I found this record in Havana, Florida in it's golden antique days in 1987. There were about thirty shops that you could browse. Some had multiple vendors and once someone found a million dollar painting there. Those were happy of collecting before the Internet and Antique Road Show, needless to say they do not exist anymore. There are a couple of places out there, mainly repro and gaudy Indonesian knockoff of American federal style furniture. But the best shop was owned by a woman named Helen Archer that did estate sales in Rochester, NY in the 1960's. She had some of the most exquisite items that you cannot buy today, only at exuberant prices. Many of my silver from America's Gilded age came from her. Just beautiful items with had the year etched on most of the items. The place I found this was a most wonderful multi level in a warehouse type antique store that was in an old canning building/warehouse with multiple vendors. Many of my inexpensive but interesting collectibles came from there. This record seems to be the 1940's equivalent of MP3. They would record their favorite song and mail it to loved ones. They are made of cardboard with a cellophane film. They are still playable and sound great. On this record side one with the crooning rabbit is written in ink, "SYMPHONY MUSIC 1-1-45." On rear, "SUSPENSE MUSIC." On the other record on front, "BING CROSBY, PEOPLE WILL SAY WE ARE IN LOVE.' On the rear, "BING CROSBY, DAY DREAMING."
